The Meaning of the Saying of Allah the Exalted: "Indeed, those who said, 'Our Lord,' then remained steadfast."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
Indeed, those who have said, "Our Lord is Allah إن الذين قالوا ربنا الله
[Fussilat 41:30]
This is faith, the oneness of Allah, and sincerity to Allah (Mighty and Majestic). There is no Lord except Allah (Mighty and Majestic). He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and the Lord of the great Throne. He is the One who manages the creation as He wills, in accordance with what His wisdom, mercy, and justice require.
then remained steadfast ثم استقاموا
They remained steadfast upon the religion of Allah, upon the Shari'ah of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). They remained steadfast upon the Shari'ah, adding nothing to it and subtracting nothing from it, and not innovating in the religion of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) anything that is not part of it. Steadfastness is moderation and walking upon the straight path. And this word, meaning "they remained steadfast," is the correct word that Allah mentioned in His Book and that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned in his Sunnah. Allah the Exalted said:
Indeed, those who have said, "Our Lord is Allah " and then remained on a right course إن الذين قالوا ربنا الله ثم استقاموا
[Fussilat 41:30]
. And Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) said:
So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. فأقم وجهك للدين حنيفا
[Ar-Rum 30:30]
. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said:
Messenger of God, say something about Islam concerning which I shall need to ask no one after you are gone.” (A version has "anyone else”.) He said, "Say, ‘I believe in God’, then keep to the straight path.” حين سأله الرجل قال قل لي قولا في الإسلام لا أسأل عنه أحدا غيرك قال : قل آمنت بالله ثم استقم
