A Note on the Phrase "So-and-So Is Committed" and the Correct Expression Is "So-and-So Is Upright"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The word "upright" is the correct term. As for what many people use today, replacing it with "committed," this is not correct, because uprightness is moderation, while commitment is humility and submission. There is no doubt that humility and submission to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) constitute uprightness, but it does not convey the same meaning as uprightness does.
Many people today tell you, "So-and-So is committed," and yes, commitment is good. But do not say it that way; say "So-and-So is upright," as that is how it is mentioned in the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
Indeed, those who have said, "Our Lord is Allah " and then remained on a right course إن الذين قالوا ربنا الله ثم استقاموا
