What is the path to rectifying the hearts and getting rid of showing off and self-admiration?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A questioner asks: What is the path to rectifying the hearts and getting rid of showing off and self-admiration?

The Shaykh : The path to that is to turn to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and return to Him, and to ask Him for steadfastness upon the truth until it is in the intended manner. Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said:
(54) And return [in repentance] to your Lord and submit to Him before the punishment comes upon you; then you will not be helped. (55) And follow the best of what was revealed to you from your Lord before the punishment comes upon you suddenly while you do not perceive,
[Az-Zumar 39:54-55]
.
I ask Allah the Exalted to make our ending and yours good, and to make us steadfast with the firm word in this worldly life and in the Hereafter.
Until the next meeting, if Allah wills, and may peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
