Sometimes we visit our relatives to maintain family ties, but we find their daughters there uncovered and coming to greet us. Should we maintain ties with them or not?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : O esteemed Shaykh, sometimes we visit our kin and relatives to maintain ties with them, but we find their daughters there.

The Shaykh : But, but.

The questioner : But sometimes we find their daughters there uncovered and coming to greet us. Should we maintain ties with them or not?

The Shaykh : Maintain ties with them and advise them against this forbidden act they are engaged in. If they reform, it is for you and for them. If they do not reform, it is for you and against them. However, if they insist on staying with you while they are uncovered, leave and do not sit with them, because it is not permissible for a person to sit with the people of evil and approve of it, as Allah the Exalted said:
And it has already come down to you in the Book that when you hear the verses of Allah [recited], they are denied [by them] and ridiculed; so do not sit with them until they enter into another conversation. Indeed, you would then be like them. Indeed Allah will gather the hypocrites and disbelievers in Hell all together - وَقَدْ نَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الْكِتَابِ أَنْ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ يُكْفَرُ بِهَا وَيُسْتَهْزَأُ بِهَا فَلَا تَقْعُدُوا مَعَهُمْ حَتَّى يَخُوضُوا فِي حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِ إِنَّكُمْ إِذًا مِثْلُهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ جَامِعُ الْمُنَافِقِينَ وَالْكَافِرِينَ فِي جَهَنَّمَ جَمِيعًا
