The participation of Muslims with polytheists in the wedding celebrations of their daughters
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 2757 )
Q2: Is it permissible or not to participate with polytheists in the marriage contracts of their daughters?
A2: It is not permissible for Muslims to participate with polytheists in the celebrations of the marriage contracts of their daughters or the like; because of what that entails of showing them their loyalty, and being pleased with their disbelief in Allah, and rejecting the religion of Islam, in which Allah does not accept from anyone any religion other than it. You can refer to the book of the Shaykh al-Islam Ahmad ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) (Iqtida' al-Sirat al-Mustaqim); because he has elaborated on this issue and its similar ones. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
