What is your opinion of the one who asks about the descent of Allah to the lowest heaven every night and says that the night differs from one region to another?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : His EminenceThe Shaykh : How do we respond to the one who says that it is established that Allah descends to the lowest heaven every night, but the night differs from one region to another, so here it is day and there it is night? Does the descent repeat, or how is it?

The Shaykh : The answer to this has already been given, has it not? And we said that this question is a religious innovation (bid'ah) and is refuted against its asker, because the Companions did not ask this question, and they were more knowledgeable about Allah than we are, more eager for knowledge than we are, more mindful of Allah than we are, and more reverent toward Allah (Mighty and Majestic) than we are. What suffices them suffices us, and we say: as long as a third of the night remains in a region, the divine descent is established, and when the dawn breaks, there is no descent with regard to that region. And Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is not compared to His creation (Glorified and Exalted is He), and we cannot comprehend the modality of His attributes. Yes.
