Explanation of the second verse, which is his saying: “Praying upon the chosen Prophet and his family who have completed honor”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He said: “Praying upon the chosen Prophet”. “Praying” is a state describing the subject of “I praise,” or is it not? Good. Here a difficulty arises for us: how can one be praising while he is praying? Because praise is connected to the tongue, and prayer is connected to the tongue. Is it possible for a person to speak two sentences at the same time? No, it is not possible? Is it possible? Because he is praising and not praying, and if he is praying, he is not praising. The tongue cannot pronounce two words; it pronounces only one word. So how is it correct to say “I praise my Lord, Allah, while praying”? “I praise” is a state of being while praying. They say: this state of “I praise my Lord” is one intending to pray upon the Messenger. Intending to pray upon the Messenger.
So it is an intended state. He said: an intended state is of no benefit, because if a person intends to pray but does not pray, he has not prayed and has not become one who is praying, so it is contradictory. They said: then it is a presumed state. A presumed state, like
[Having been told], "Enter it in peace, safe [and secure]." ادخلوها بسلام آمنين
[Al-Hijr 15:46]
. The safety is after the entry, but it is presumed, and the estimation of every thing is according to its measure, so it is presumed and became an attribute for him during his praise, because it is coupled with the praise, meaning that whoever ... praises, he prays. In any case, the meaning is clear, my brothers. The meaning is that he (may Allah have mercy on him) wants to combine the praise of Allah with the prayer upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
“Praying upon the chosen Prophet” is Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and the chosen one is the selected one. And Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) chose Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) over all the messengers, indeed over all creation, as the poet said:
“The best of creation absolutely *** is our Prophet, so be weary of discord”
And among what indicates his selection is that Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) singled him out with this great message, of which there is no like in the messages. And this is evidence of his selection, due to His saying:
Allah is most knowing of where He places His message الله أعلم حيث يجعل رسالته
[Al-An'am 6:124]
.
“And his family who have completed honor”. The correct view is that “his family,” if not accompanied by “the Companions and the followers,” means the general followers of his religion. Yes. But what appears from the context of the author is that the intended meaning of “his family” is his believing relatives.
And his saying: “who have completed honor”: “who have completed honor.” But it may be said: this Ummah is complete in honor relative to the previous nations, even if some of the Ummah are better than others. So we take the general meaning.
And his saying: “who have completed honor” means “who are seeking completion,” like one who seeks forgiveness is seeking pardon. Yes.
And it was said: “who have completed” — the sin and ta are added for emphasis, so the meaning of “who have completed” is “who are complete.” Yes. So on this view, they are complete in themselves, and on the first view, they are seeking completion and have attained it, due to his saying “the honorable ones.”
And “the honorable ones” is the plural of “honorable,” an attribute for “his family,” or “honor” is a singular object for “who have completed,” meaning “who have completed honor” and “his family who have completed honor.”
