Is it permissible to make du'a' with this wording: "O Allah, I do not ask You to turn back the divine decree, but I ask You for gentleness in it"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : I have heard some people say a word that I disapprove of. They say: "O Allah, I do not ask You to turn back the divine decree, but I ask You for gentleness in it." This is a mistake, a mistake, this is a mistake. How can you say, "I do not ask You to turn back the divine decree"?
Nothing turns back the Decree except supplication لا يرد القضاء إلا الدعاء
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2139Da'if (Darussalam)
. Make du'a' to Allah, for perhaps what Allah has decreed for you will be lifted from you because of your du'a'. Just as dutifulness to parents increases one's lifespan, so du'a' turns back the divine decree. Allah may decree something for you, but if you make du'a' to Allah, He will lift it from you. Did not the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when he spoke about the eclipse of the sun and the moon, the eclipse of the moon and the eclipse of the sun, say what? He said:
So when you see that, supplicate Allah إذا رأيتم ذلك فادعوا الله
Sunan Abi Dawud 1191Sahih (Al-Albani)
Do not say: "O Allah, I do not ask You to turn back the divine decree." Say: "O Allah, I ask You to prevent the evil of the divine decree from me, to prevent the evil of the divine decree from me, and ask Allah for whatever You wish." As for saying, "I do not ask You to turn back the divine decree, but I ask You for gentleness in it," it means, "Punish me as You wish, and I do not care." This is not correct. The one who says this has made a mistake.
First, because this formulation has not been transmitted. Second, because du'a' may turn back the divine decree, for Allah may decree something and the person makes du'a', so Allah lifts the thing from him or averts the thing from him. Therefore, one must be aware of this incorrect word, and the person must be determined to ask and not make du'a' like this.
So, our brothers.
