Does one afflicted by jinn possession become a disbeliever if he commits what necessitates disbelief, such as insulting the religion or the like?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Praise be to Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah.

The Shaykh : May peace and blessings be upon him.

The questioner : Your Eminence, one of my relatives has been confirmed, through lawful ruqyah (healing by Qur'anic recitation) and through observation and monitoring of his condition, to be afflicted with possession. Some blasphemous actions and words, may Allah protect us, have come from him, such as insulting Allah or insulting the Messenger of Allah. We ask Allah for safety. When he is questioned in his state of sanity, he denies that he did this or that he knew of it. Someone like this...

The Shaykh : He denies that he did it.

The questioner : He denies it, meaning he says, "No, I did not do this and I did not say this."

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : What is the course of action regarding someone like this? Should he be boycotted, or should one be patient with him? And in the case of his death, what is done regarding the obligatory legal rulings toward him?

The Shaykh : Look, may Allah reward you, he owes nothing, he owes nothing. Even if he left off the prayer, because he is not currently aware that he left it off, this means that the jinn caused him to lose consciousness and prevented him from having the will to do so. Therefore, his leaving it off is exactly like that of one who is coerced. So, by ruling, he remains upon his faith in this world, and, if Allah wills, in the Hereafter as well. Yes, after that, it is easy. No, this is from the town.
