What is the ruling on a woman with weak eyesight wearing the niqab?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : O honorable Shaykh!

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : What is the ruling on a woman with weak eyesight wearing the niqab?

The Shaykh : Yes, regarding wearing the niqab, I do not issue a fatwa permitting it, given the evil that results from it. Women have expanded the opening for the eye until a woman widens the slit for her eye, applies kohl, and beautifies her eye as much as possible. Some of them widen this circle, this slit, until it reaches the cheek or the eyebrow. Therefore, I do not issue a fatwa permitting it, but I do not issue a fatwa forbidding it. Is the difference clear?

The questioner : Clear.

The Shaykh : If I say I do not issue a fatwa forbidding it, I mean I do not say it is not permissible. But if I say I do not issue a fatwa permitting it, the meaning is that I withhold the fatwa on its permissibility. Yes?

The questioner : And who is the one with weak eyesight?

The Shaykh :
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out من يتق الله يجعل له مخرجاً
[At-Talaq 65:2]
, and this one comes and says I have narrow vision, and a young woman from the best of women in terms of vision says I have weak eyesight.

The questioner : Even if she wears the niqab, O Shaykh?

The Shaykh : We said!

The questioner : ...

The Shaykh : You are like the man who was told: Swearing by the Prophet is forbidden and not permissible?
The mufti brought the evidence, then he saidThe questioner :"And the Prophet did not swear by the Prophet" hehehe.
