The Ruling on a Woman Wearing the Niqab

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
This questioner says: Regarding, O Shaykh, the wearing of the niqab, since I have heard that some people say that it is not permissible, what is your opinion on that? May Allah reward you.
Answer: There is nothing wrong with a woman wearing the niqab, provided that the opening is the size of one eye or the size of both eyes, and the rest is covered. However, if she is in a state of ihram for Hajj or 'Umrah, she should not wear it until she exits the state of ihram. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade a woman in a state of ihram from wearing the niqab. But if she is not in a state of ihram, there is nothing wrong with her wearing the niqab, except that only the eye or the eyes should be visible. If she covers herself with the khimar or something similar, that is more complete and further from fitnah.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, O Shaykh!
