A questioner says: I saw a woman performing tawaf while wearing gloves. What should she do?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The questioner, Munya, says: I saw a woman performing tawaf while wearing gloves. What is the ruling in this case? Do you mean on her hands?

The Shaykh : Yes. If a woman sees another woman performing tawaf while wearing gloves, she should ask her before objecting to her. She should say to her, "Are you in the state of ihram?" If she says yes, she should tell her, "Take off the gloves," because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding the one in ihram:
Do not wear gloves. لا تلبس القفازين
And if she says she is not in ihram, but that this is a voluntary tawaf, then there is no harm in wearing gloves during voluntary tawaf.

The questioner : This is...

The Shaykh : On this occasion.

The questioner : Please go ahead.

The Shaykh : I would like to point out this issue in the chapter of enjoining good and forbidding evil, which is that you do not object to a person's action until you know that it is wrong, because objecting before that is hastening and rushing. For this reason, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) did not object to the man who entered while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering the Friday sermon and sat down. He did not object to his sitting until he asked him:
Did you pray? أصليت
He said, "No." He said:
Then perform two Rak’ah, but make them brief. قم فصل ركعتين وتجوّز فيهما
Sunan Ibn Majah 1114Da’if (Darussalam)
So look at how the guidance of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) was in addressing one who did an action that could be wrong in his case and could be not wrong. And he (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) is the best example. As for one who objects to a person merely for doing what he sees as wrong, that is rushing and hastening. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah bless you, O honorable Shaykh.
