Ruling on Wearing Gloves for a Woman in Ihram

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
A Sudanese woman in the Kingdom says: (H. H. A.) She says: I performed the obligatory Umrah, praise be to Allah, but I entered the state of ihram from Jeddah first and wore gloves. What is required of me?
Answer: If you were able to go for Umrah, you must enter the state of ihram from the miqat for visiting, which is from the valley, Wadi al-Qarn, or Wadi al-Taif, in the air if you are in an airplane, or in the car if you are in a car. If you passed the miqat and did not enter ihram except from Jeddah, you must offer a sacrificial animal to be slaughtered in Makkah for the poor. However, if you came to Makkah for a purpose other than Umrah, and came to Jeddah for a purpose other than Umrah, and then it occurred to you while in Jeddah to perform Umrah, there is no harm in entering ihram from Jeddah, because you did not intend Umrah except there. But if you intended it in Riyadh but did not enter ihram except in Jeddah, you must offer a sacrificial animal.
As for the gloves, it is not permissible for a woman in ihram to wear them; rather, she must leave off the gloves and the face veil during ihram. If she wore them while ignorant or forgetful, she owes nothing. If she did so intentionally while knowing the ruling, she must pay an expiation, which is feeding six poor people, or slaughtering a sheep, or fasting for three days, and she has the choice. If she wishes, she may feed six poor people, three sa' (a dry measure of about 3 kg), each sa' divided between two people, or she may fast for three days, or slaughter a sheep. Likewise, if a man commits a prohibited act, such as covering his head, wearing sewn clothing, or applying perfume intentionally and knowingly, he must pay an expiation. But if he did so while forgetful or ignorant, he owes nothing. Likewise, if a woman wears the face veil or gloves while forgetful or ignorant, she owes nothing during ihram.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
