What is the ruling on one who says to another, "Please do so and so for me"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you, O Shaykh. Many people use the phrase "Please do so and so for me". Is there any shirk (associating partners with Allah) in this word?

The Shaykh : No, there is nothing wrong with this word. You may say to a person, "Please do so and so," just as you would say, "I hope you will do so and so." There is no blame in it.

The questioner : Because hope is sought from Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He).

The Shaykh : That is, hope is from Allah, and there is no objection in seeking it from others.
