The questioner : In the name of Allah.
Your Eminence, regarding the 'Id sacrifice, if a person travels to a country, does he perform the sacrifice in the country he traveled to, or does he appoint someone in his home country?

The Shaykh : Is his family with him, or are they in his home country?

The questioner : They are in his home country.

The Shaykh : Is his family still there and did not travel?

The questioner : They did not travel.
The Shaykh: In that case, it is better for him to appoint someone to perform the sacrifice on behalf of his family so that they may benefit from the 'Id sacrifice.

The questioner : And if his family is with him?

The Shaykh : They perform the sacrifice wherever the festival catches up with them.
