What is the ruling on one who stands to perform voluntary prayer ten minutes or more before the preacher arrives?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Your Eminence, I see some people on Friday, five minutes to a quarter of an hour before the preacher enters, stand up and pray a voluntary prayer. Is there any basis for this?
Is there a prohibition on prayer on Friday at the time of the sun reaching its zenith?

The Shaykh : There is no basis for this, meaning: there is no basis for some people waiting, and then when ten minutes or so remain before the preacher arrives, standing up and praying. I do not know of anyone who has ever said this opinion in any form.
As for the fact that Friday has a time of prohibition, the correct view is that it does have a time of prohibition, and that it is like other days due to the generality of the evidence. There is no evidence indicating that Friday is specifically exempted from the prohibition at the time of the sun reaching its zenith. A weak hadith was reported in this regard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Shaykh al-Islam (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned that a person is not prohibited from praying if he is continuous in his prayer until the preacher arrives. He said: because this is what the Companions used to do. However, remaining seated until the time of the sermon approaches, then standing up and praying during a time of prohibition, has no basis. It is not permissible for him to stand up and pray at this time if it is about ten minutes before the sun reaches its zenith.
