What is your opinion of the one who does not greet his praying brothers because he claims that their creed is defective?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Shaykh, may Allah reward you, what is your advice for the one who prays with his brothers in the mosque and does not greet them on the pretext that their creed is defective?

The Shaykh : Huh?

The questioner : He does not greet them on the pretext that their creed is defective.

The Shaykh : And what is his creed?

The questioner : It is correct, meaning according to his claim.

The Shaykh : He does not greet them even in the prayer? Meaning he does not say, "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah."

The questioner : After the prayer, meaning he does not greet them, and if you advise him and say to him!

The Shaykh : Meaning if he recites the tashahhud and stands up and does not greet them?

The questioner : No, he greets them.

The Shaykh : Meaning he greets them in the prayer.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : But he does not turn his head?

The questioner : No.

The Shaykh : Huh?

The questioner : After the prayer, he does not greet them at all, even inside the mosque, meaning one of them is Pakistani and one is Indian, on the pretext that their creed is defective.

The Shaykh : In any case, the greeting, as you know, is a recommended practice (sunnah).

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : The greeting other than the greeting of the prayer is a recommended practice (sunnah); if he wishes, he greets, and if he wishes, he does not greet. But we see that this imam, as long as he is an imam, should seek to reconcile them and teach them the correct creed, because they are ignorant. Most of these workers who come to us have lived in a country where there is some deviation, and they do not know. It is their right upon us that we teach them and call them to the Sunnah. So we advise this man to greet them when he enters, to seek to reconcile them, and to teach them, either in every obligatory prayer or in the obligatory prayer in which they are not busy.

The questioner : May Allah reward you.

The Shaykh : Yes.
