Is it permissible for one in a state of major ritual impurity to recite the Qur'an from memory?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Reciting the Qur'an from memory while in a state of major ritual impurity?

The Shaykh : We mentioned that it is forbidden and not permissible. However, we mentioned that supplication that coincides with the Qur'an is fine if one does not intend it as recitation. For example, saying after eating: "Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds," or saying:
[Who say], "Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower. رَبَّنَا لا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ
[Ali 'Imran 3:8]
As for reciting the Qur'an, it is not permissible for one in a state of major ritual impurity.
