Is it to be disapproved of if one leaves off the greeting of the mosque during the prohibited times?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it to be disapproved of if a man enters the mosque and does not perform the greeting of the mosque during the prohibited times? And what is the basis for that?

The Shaykh : And upon you be peace. There is scholarly disagreement on this issue. If a person enters and sits down, do not disapprove of him, because most people in this country do not know anything other than that there is no greeting of the mosque during the prohibited times, so do not disapprove of him. But if you see that the man will accept it from you, then when he finishes his prayer, say: "My brother, for example, I have heard that there is no prohibition on the greeting of the mosque, only a prohibition on [praying] at specific times, and do not add to this."

The questioner : No prohibition on it?

The Shaykh : The correct view is that there is no prohibition on it. The correct view is that there is a prohibition on it: that the greeting of the mosque is prayed at any time. Whenever you enter the mosque, pray. Yes.
