Is it permissible for a woman to wear pants in front of her husband or in front of women, or not?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Your Eminence, the wearing of pants by women has become widespread, especially in the markets. What is the ruling on a woman wearing them, whether in her home with her husband, with women, or in the markets? And is there any imitating of men in it? May Allah guide you.

The Shaykh : By Allah, this issue has become a problem. I see that it must be prohibited from wearing pants absolutely, even in front of her husband, because of the imitating of men and because of what is feared from the prohibited in the future. For perhaps one day women will wear tight pants, then move from tight pants to pants, meaning colored the color of the body. If they are tight and their color is the color of the body, the woman becomes as if she is naked. And praise be to Allah, now the magazines and newspapers show that this is forbidden. But unfortunately, there is a fatwa that Al-Jazeera transmitted from Shaykh 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Baz that it is forbidden, and a fatwa from Shaykh ibn Jibrin that it is forbidden, and a fatwa from the Permanent Committee that it is forbidden, and a fatwa from me also that it is forbidden. I do not know where people are going now, if their scholars say it is forbidden and they insist on doing it. Who leads the ummah? If the scholars do not lead the ummah, then who leads it? The ignorant? Or the desires? Or those who bring it upon us to corrupt our morals, as they corrupted the morals of many nations? I do not know. It is obligatory for students of knowledge to launch a campaign against such clothing and to make it clear to people that a woman is not a plastic image that one looks at, or a better doll that one looks at. A woman is like a man, except that she differs from him in the matter of adorning herself for her husband, and the like of that which Allah the Exalted made a means for her husband to connect with her, so that offspring increases and the ummah increases. So now I have given you four, all of whom say: It is forbidden.
