What is the ruling on wearing abayas that have sleeves, and what is the ruling on wearing a transparent cover that reveals the color of the skin?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The honorable Shaykh, there is an abaya with sleeves that resembles what is called the French style. This one does not have embroidery, and some say that this is not French, so it is sometimes tight. In addition to the niqab, there is a cover over it, but the color of the skin is clearly visible from behind the cover. What is your opinion?

The Shaykh : I see that it is obligatory for the face cover to be a thick cover that conceals the face; this is necessary. As for the issue of the abaya, if it does not reveal the size of the body, there is nothing wrong with it. However, I dislike every new thing of this type, because if women are to catch every fashion that comes, it will expand. Today, they may receive wide and loose abayas, and then it becomes tight, and after a short time, they will abandon the abaya entirely, and we do not know what will happen. Therefore, I see that it is obligatory for the men who are the guardians of the women to pay attention to this matter and not let the women run wild, buying whatever they want and wearing whatever they want.
The important thing is that the face cover must be thick. Any cover through which the color of the skin is visible is not truly a cover. As for the abaya, there is no doubt that the original abaya, which has no sleeves and covers the woman entirely, so that her shoulders and upper arms are not visible, is better than this. However, prohibition requires clear evidence. Yes, it requires clear evidence. Where is the questioner you mentioned?

The questioner : ...

The Shaykh : All right, please go ahead.
