A woman stipulated to her husband that she would work, and he stipulated to her that he would not provide for her; what is the ruling on that?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Very well.

The questioner : A woman wanted to get married and stipulated to the husband that she would work, and the husband stipulated to her that he would not provide for her. He allowed her to work but did not provide for her. We heard that you...?

The Shaykh : Yes, yes. If she stipulated that she would work in teaching or other jobs and he agreed to that, there is nothing wrong with it. And if she waived the maintenance, meaning if he stipulated that he would not provide for her, there is also nothing wrong with that, because maintenance is her right. So if she waived it, there is no blame on her.
