What is the ruling on naming the referee who adjudicates between football players "al-Hakam," given the prohibition against naming someone "Abu al-Hakam"?

The questioner : A questioner says: It was reported in a hadith of Abu Shurayh that he was known as Abu al-Hakam, and it was mentioned that when his people disagreed, they would seek his judgment. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to them:
Allah is Al-Hakam (the Judge) إن الله هو الحكم
Sunan an-Nasa'i 5387Hasan (Darussalam)
Then he forbade him from that and gave him the title Abu Shurayh.
But now, the one who adjudicates between players who play football is called "al-Hakam." What is the ruling on that? Is it forbidden or permissible?

The Shaykh : No, there is nothing wrong with that, just as Allah the Exalted said:
And if you fear dissension between the two, send an arbitrator from his people and an arbitrator from her people. If they both desire reconciliation, Allah will cause it between them
[An-Nisa 4:35]
But the case of Abu Shurayh was that they used to call him Abu al-Hakam as a settled and continuous kunya for this role. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wanted to block the means to shirk (associating partners with Allah) and gave him the kunya of his eldest son, who was Shurayh.

The Shaykh : I have a question.
