When Dawud (peace be upon him) was glorifying Allah, and the birds and mountains were glorifying with him, did he hear the sound of the birds and mountains as they glorified?

The questioner : When Dawud (peace be upon him) was glorifying Allah, and the birds and mountains were glorifying with him, did he hear the sound of the birds and mountains as they glorified?

The Shaykh : I do not know about this; we do not know it except through the report of Allah. Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, has informed us that He made the mountains and birds subject to Dawud to glorify with him. As for whether he heard them or not, Allah knows best. Yes.
