Completion of his statement: (or under his foot) Is the spittle in the mosque?

The Shaykh : As we mentioned a moment ago, may Allah reward you, it is possible for it to be on his left while he is in the mosque, and for the spittle to be outside the mosque. Since spitting is a sin, why do we do it? This combination is necessary. The response to the fact that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) wiped it with his sandal is that he was unable to do so. Perhaps his cloak was not readily available at that moment; otherwise, he guided us that it should be in the garment.
