The Book of Mosques and Places of Prayer-03b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us from Hisham from his father from 'A'ishah
The Apostle of Allah (way peace be upon him) had a garment which had designs upon it and this distracted him in prayer. He gave it to Abu Jahm and took a plain garment in its place which is known anbijaniya. أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كانت له خميصة لها علم فكان يتشاغل بها في الصلاة فأعطاها أبا جهم وأخذ كساء له أنبجانيا
Sahih Muslim 556c

The Shaykh : We have previously discussed this and clarified that it is disliked if it distracts him, but if it does not distract him, then it is not disliked.
It has also been previously established that it is derived from this that anything which distracts a person from his prayer is disliked.
