The Book of Mosques and Places of Prayer-06b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Amr al-Naqqad and Zuhr ibn Harb narrated to us, saying: Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim ibn Sa'd narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to us from Salih from Ibn Shihab, saying: Urwah ibn al-Zubayr informed me that Aisha said:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) seeking refuge in his prayer from the trial of the Dajjal. سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يستعيذ في صلاته من فتنة الدجال
.

The Shaykh : Her statement:
Seeking refuge from the trial of the Dajjal. يستعيذ من فتنة الدجال
. The Dajjal: This is an intensive form derived from *dajl* (deception), or a nominal form indicating profession, like *najjar* (carpenter) for one who practices carpentry, or *haddad* (blacksmith) for one who practices smithing, where the craft becomes his trade. The reality is that this man—the Dajjal—combines both aspects: he is a great deceiver, and deception is also his craft and profession.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sought refuge from him because his trial is the greatest trial that will occur from Adam until the Hour. It is a tremendous trial. He is a man from the descendants of Adam, one-eyed, as described by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Between his eyes is written: "Kafir" (disbeliever). The believer reads it, even if he is not a reader, and it is hidden from the hypocrite, even if he is a reader. He will emerge from the east, between Sham and Iraq. Seventy thousand Jews from Isfahan will follow him. He will wreak havoc on the earth and move through it swiftly, like a cloud driven by the wind. He will remain on the earth for forty days: one day like a year, one day like a month, one day like a week, and the rest of his days like our days. If we add these days together, we now have a year and a month, and a week, meaning thirty-seven days. A year and thirty-seven days, and thirty-seven days, because the first day was like a year, the second like a month, and the third like a week. How much is that? Seventy-four days. A year and seventy-four days. Then Isa (peace be upon him) will descend in Sham, at the gate of Ludd. Sham originally includes Palestine, and he will kill him there, and his evil will end.
