The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon His servant and messenger, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him) said in his book, Sahih:
And Zuhayr ibn Harb narrated to me, saying: Isma'il ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, saying: al-Hajjaj ibn Abi Uthman narrated to us. And Ibrahim ibn Musa narrated to me, saying: Isa—meaning ibn Yunus—narrated to us from al-Awza'i. And Zuhayr ibn Harb narrated to me, saying: Husayn ibn Muhammad narrated to us, saying: Shayban narrated to us. And Amr al-Naqqad and Muhammad ibn Rafi' both said: 'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us from Ma'mar. And 'Abd Allah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman al-Darimi narrated to me, saying: Yahya ibn Hassan narrated to us, saying: Mu'awiyah narrated to us. All of them narrated from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir with the same meaning as al-Hisham's hadith and its chain of narration. The wording of the hadiths of al-Hisham, Shayban, and Mu'awiyah ibn Salam agreed in this hadith.
