The reciter: Yahya ibn Ayyub, Qutaybah ibn Sa'id, and Ibn Hujayj narrated to us from Isma'il ibn Ja'far. Ibn Ayyub said: Isma'il narrated to us, saying: Al-Ala' informed me from his father from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sahih Muslim 602b.
The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah. This is a blessing from Allah that when a person is proceeding to the prayer and preparing for it, he is in prayer. For this reason, the scholars (may Allah have mercy on them) said that if a person stands up to prepare for the prayer with wudu' and other things, from the time the time enters, he is considered to be hastening for it, because what precedes it is related to it. This hadith supports that, that whoever is proceeding to the prayer is in prayer. Is that not so, O 'Abd Allah ibn 'Uthay?
The student: Yes.
The Shaykh : Yes.
