His saying: (The two rak'ahs of Fajr are better than the world and all that is in it) — is it better than 'Asr?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : O Shaykh, in the past we said that the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
The two Rak'ah of Fajr are better than the world and what is in it. ركعتي الفجر خير من الدنيا وما فيها
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 416Sahih (Darussalam)
indicates this virtue. So what about the prayer of Fajr, which is obligatory? If its reward is very great, and if the voluntary prayer is like this, how much greater is the reward of the prayer of Fajr? And you used this as evidence, O Shaykh, that it is the best of the prayers, and today we are hearing new talk.

The Shaykh : No, I do not remember at all that I said it is the best of the prayers. But we did say it is virtuous, without doubt. However, that it is the best, no.

The questioner : But O Shaykh, this reward has not been established for the prayer of 'Asr.

The Shaykh : Even now, you cannot establish this reward for the prayer of Fajr. Even if it were established for its sunnah, it could be said that the Messenger encouraged it because people are reluctant to perform the sunnah and do not wake up early. One says, "I will wake up when the time for prayer arrives." We cannot apply analogy to these matters.
