Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : How do we say that he enters it, when the apparent meaning of the hadith is that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
One who لن يلج
How do we say it?

The Shaykh : We say this is a reconciliation of the evidences, because Allah said:
Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills إن الله لا يغفر أن يشرك به ويغفر ما دون ذلك لمن يشاء
[An-Nisa 4:48]
The implication of the verse is that He punishes whom He wills, so the reconciliation of the evidences is this, Yusuf.

The questioner : How do we address this? We say that the 'Asr and Fajr prayers, with humility, and likewise that they expiate his sins, and this is how the hadith is addressed.

The Shaykh : But the hadith, as you know, states that the five daily prayers, from Friday to Friday, and from Ramadan to Ramadan, are an expiation for what is between them, provided that major sins are avoided.
