The Book of the Prayer of the Traveler and Its Shortening-02b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: And Abu al-Rabi' al-Zuhri narrated to me, saying: Hammad narrated to us from al-Zubayr ibn al-Khurayt from 'Abdullah ibn Shaqiq, who said:
Ibn 'Abbas delivered a sermon to us one day after the 'Asr prayer until the sun had set and the stars had appeared, and the people kept saying, "The prayer, the prayer!" Then a man from Banu Tamim came to him, not ceasing or stopping, saying, "The prayer, the prayer!" Ibn 'Abbas said, "Are you teaching me the Sunnah? May your mother be bereaved of you!" Then he said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) combine the Zuhr and 'Asr prayers, and the Maghrib and 'Isha' prayers."
'Abdullah ibn Shaqiq said: "Something troubled me about that, so I went to Abu Hurayrah and asked him, and he confirmed his statement."
