The reciter: Qutaybah ibn Sa'id narrated to us, saying: Abu 'Uwanah narrated to us from Sa'd ibn Ibrahim from Hafs ibn 'Asim from Ibn Buhaynah, who said:
The call for the Fajr prayer was being made, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man praying while the mu'adhdhin was making the iqamah. He said: "Are you praying the Fajr prayer with four rak'ahs?" أقيمت صلاة الصبح فرأى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلّم رجلا يصلي والمؤذّن يقيم فقال: أتصلي الصبح أربعا
