The reciter: Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, saying: Al-Dhahhak, meaning Abu 'Aasim, narrated to us. And Mahmud ibn Ghaylan narrated to me, saying: 'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us. Both of them said: Ibn Jurayj informed us, saying: Ibn Shihab informed me that 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Ka'b informed him from his father, 'Abd Allah ibn Ka'b, and from his uncle, 'Ubayd Allah ibn Ka'b, from Ka'b ibn Malik
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did not come back from the journey but by day in the forenoon, and when he arrived, he went first to the mosque, and having prayed two rak'ahs in it he sat down in it. أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلّم كان لا يقدم من سفر إلا نهارا في الضحى فإذا قدم بدأ بالمسجد فصلى فيه ركعتين ثم جلس فيه
