The reciter: Muhammad ibn 'Abbad narrated to us, saying: Sufyan narrated to us from 'Amr from al-Zuhri from Salim from his father, who said:

Hafsa informed me that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray two rak'ahs when the dawn lightened for him.

أخبرتني حفصة أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلّم كان إذا أضاء له الفجر صلى ركعتين
