What is the ruling on a woman going to a doctor for treatment?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the ruling on a woman going to a doctor for treatment, O honorable Shaykh?

The Shaykh : If she needs treatment and no one is available to treat her except a man, there is no harm in the man treating her, but he must not be alone with her. Rather, a mahram (a relative one may not marry) must be present with her, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
No person should be alone with a woman except when there is a Mahram with her لا يخلون رجل بامرأة إلا ومعها ذو محرم
Sahih Muslim 1341a
.

The questioner : May Allah bless you.
