Explanation of the Book of Hajj-06a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Ali ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, Ziyad ibn Sa'd narrated to us from al-Zuhri from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who said:
The Kabah will be destroyed by Dhul-Suwaiqatan (one with thin legs) from Ethiopia. يخرب الكعبة ذو السويقتين من الحبشة
Sunan an-Nasa'i 2904Sahih (Darussalam)

The Shaykh : His statement "will demolish the Ka'bah" means he will destroy it and dismantle it stone by stone. "The one with the two thin calves" is the diminutive of "legs," meaning he is a man with weak, skinny legs. His statement
from the Abyssinians من الحبشة
clarifies the origin of this man, that he is from the Abyssinians, and with him are his soldiers who will dismantle it stone by stone. Each one of them will pass a stone to his companion until they throw it into the sea. So they are many soldiers who pass the stones from Makkah to Jeddah. If someone asks how Allah the Mighty and Majestic enabled these people to dismantle the Ka'bah stone by stone, while He did not enable the people of the Elephant to demolish it? The answer is that the matter is clear: demolishing the Ka'bah at the time of the Elephant was not in accordance with wisdom, because a Prophet would be sent from this place, the location of the Ka'bah, who would establish Islam, and the Ka'bah would be circumambulated for pilgrimage and honored therein. Therefore, Allah the Mighty and Majestic protected it, for He knows, Glorified and Exalted is He, that it will be built up. As for empowering the one with the two thin calves, it is because the people of Makkah will dishonor it, and no sanctity for it will remain in their hearts, and pilgrimage to it will be like pilgrimage to ruins, not for the worship of the Most Merciful. When the state of this exalted House reaches this dishonor, its remaining among them is a dishonor to it. So He empowered the one with the two thin calves against it. Just as the Noble Qur'an is the speech of Allah the Mighty and Majestic, if people turn away from it completely, it will be removed from the mushafs and from the chests. The people will be such that there is not a letter of the Qur'an in the mushafs and not a letter of the Qur'an in the chests. Why? Because they dishonored it, and it is too great to remain among a people who dishonor it. Therefore, it is obligatory upon the students of knowledge now to protect this great Qur'an to the best of their ability, lest it be dishonored and forgotten. This is the meaning of the statement of the Salaf regarding the Qur'an: "It is from Allah that it began, and to Him it returns." Yes.
