Benefits of the Hadith of 'Umar Regarding Kissing the Black Stone

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : It contains evidence that kissing the Black Stone is merely following the Sunnah, not seeking blessing from it, contrary to what many common people think. Some of them even stand with their children, wipe the stone, and then wipe the child with it to seek blessing from it. Some do this even at the Yemeni Corner, and this is an error. Kissing the stone and touching it are merely acts of following the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). That is why 'Umar said what he said: "I know that you are a stone that neither harms nor benefits", meaning you do not harm one who opposes you nor benefit one who agrees with you, but it is following the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: "Were it not that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kissing you, I would not have kissed you". The translation contains something; the hadiths?
