Explanation of the Book of Hajj-09b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Adam narrated to us, saying: Shu'bah narrated to us from Abu Ishaq al-Hamdani from Harithah ibn Wahb al-Khuza'i (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
The Prophet (ﷺ) led us in a two-rak`at prayer at Mina although our number was more than ever and we were in better security than ever. صلى بنا النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ونحن أكثر ما كنا قط وآمنه بمنىً ركعتين
Sahih al-Bukhari 1656

The Shaykh : This is to clarify that the statement of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He):
And when you travel throughout the land, there is no blame upon you for shortening the prayer, [especially] if you fear that those who disbelieve may disrupt وإذا ضربتم في الأرض فليس عليكم جناح أن تقصروا من الصلاة إن خفتم أن يفتنكم الذين كفروا
[An-Nisa 4:101]
This condition has been abrogated, and praise be to Allah, as it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) that he said:
It is an act of charity which Allah has done to you, so accept his charity. صدقة تصدق الله بها عليكم فاقبلوا صدقته
Sunan Abi Dawud 1199Sahih (Al-Albani)
And here he says:
although our number was more than ever and we were in better security than ever ونحن أكثر ما كنا قط وآمنه بمنى ركعتين
Sahih al-Bukhari 1656
