The reciter: And Harimah ibn Yahya narrated to me, saying: Ibn Wahb narrated to us, saying: Amr, who is Ibn al-Harith, informed me, from Ibn Shihab, from Salim ibn Abdullah, from his father, from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him):
That he prayed the prayer of the traveler in Mina and elsewhere as two rak'ahs, and Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman prayed two rak'ahs for the beginning of his caliphate, then they completed it as four. أنه صلى صلاة المسافر بمنى وغيره ركعتين وأبو بكر وعمر وعثمان ركعتين صدرا من خلافته ثم أتمها أربعا
