Explanation of the Book of Hajj-10b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Abu 'Asim al-Dhahhak ibn Makhlad narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj informed us from 'Ata from Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both):
The Prophet (ﷺ) made Al-Fadl ride behind him, and Al-Fadl informed that he (the Prophet (ﷺ) ) kept on reciting Talbiya till he did the Rami of the Jamra. أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أردف الفضل فأخبر الفضل أنه لم يزل يلبي حتى رمى الجمرة
Sahih al-Bukhari 1685

The Shaykh : They said, "And in one version it is 'he said,' because *kull* is permissible for the pronoun to refer back to it as either singular or dual. We have recited for you a verse in the grammar lesson that serves as evidence for both languages. Who remembers it? Yes, the poet said regarding two horses that raced:
Both of them, when the race between them was fierce, *** had broken away, and both their nostrils were swelling.
The first, "had broken away," is dual, and "both their nostrils were swelling" is singular.
