Benefits of the Hadith of Abu Hurayrah.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The point of this hadith is the last hadith mentioned here. The first is the hadith of Aishah, and the second is the point of the evidence, and Allah knows best. The fat may contain some dates, making it sweet. Sweets and honey were things the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) loved, because sweetness is among the most delicious tastes, and he loved fragrance because it is among the most pleasant smells. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was pure, so the pure are for the pure things, and the pure things are for the pure. If a person is inclined to these good things that Allah the Exalted created the creation to appreciate and find good, that is a sign that he is among the pure, provided his actions are good. Otherwise, one may love what is good but not be good himself. However, being good and loving this goodness is something Allah Mighty and Majestic has disposed him to, regarding the beloved, good, and sweet things. Sweets and honey are beneficial, and perhaps the brother Rashad can give us some of their benefits.
The student: As for foods that are sweet, they are easy to digest, so the body benefits from them easily, unlike other foods that require digestion.

The Shaykh : Easy digestion also, I think, purifies the blood, does it not? I do not know for certain. Some people told me that drinking honey with hot water on an empty stomach is something that purifies the blood.
The student: It gives energy and stimulation.
The student: No, perhaps it increases urination, meaning it purifies the blood, perhaps.

The Shaykh : In any case, they have benefits, but what concerns us is the legal benefit: that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) loved them. So do we say that loving this is among the legal matters or among the innate matters? The latter is more apparent, but how fortunate is the person who loves what the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) loved, even if it is by nature. Yes.

The questioner : ... the yeast, and I do not wear silk, and so-and-so does not serve me, nor so-and-so. This is a report from Abu Hurayrah, or from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)?

The Shaykh : No, it is from Abu Hurayrah.
