Benefits of the hadith cursing the one who pins down a bird.
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Look, this is an old custom: when the boys and their like see one of the people of goodness, they disperse, yes?
The student: If they are in error.
The Shaykh : If they are in error, yes. And these people knew that they were in error, which is why they dispersed from Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father). It also indicates that this is among the major sins, making it more severe than the previous hadiths where the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade pinning down animals. This constitutes a curse, and a curse is being driven away and kept distant from the mercy of Allah.
