Is it permissible for a Christian to eat with a Muslim from the same vessel?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : What is the ruling on a Christian eating with a Muslim from the same vessel, and does it make a difference if the situation is due to dire necessity or if it is by the Muslim's choice?
There is no doubt that mixing with them is not befitting, and for this reason, in the hadith
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said in the hadith of Abu Thalhah al-Khushani, when he asked him, "Do we eat in the vessels of the People of the Book?" He said:
Do not eat from them unless you find nothing else, in which case wash them and eat from them. لا تأكلوا فيها إلا أن لا تجدوا غيرها فاغسلوها وكلوا فيها
.
So what is befitting for the Muslim is that he not share his food and drink with a disbeliever. However, if dire necessity calls for it, that is a different matter. For example, if one is working in a company where there are both Muslims and disbelievers, and it is not possible for the Muslim to have his own food and drink, then this is a dire necessity, and there is nothing wrong with it.
