A brother prevents his brothers from studying in schools on the grounds that they contain theories of disbelief. Is his action correct?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A brother prevents his brothers from studying and says: “They contain theories that may lead to disbelief, such as the descent of rain and the rotation of the earth, among other things.” He prevents his brothers from studying. What do we say to him?

The Shaykh : But, my brothers! Is the one who reads about disbelief and the opinions of disbelievers considered a disbeliever? No, he is not. In the Qur'an:
And those who disbelieve say, "This [Qur'an] is not except a falsehood he invented, and another people assisted him in it." وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا إِفْكٌ افْتَرَاهُ وَأَعَانَهُ عَلَيْهِ قَوْمٌ آخَرُونَ
[Al-Furqan 25:4]
This is their theory. Do we not recite it in prayer, and you worship Allah by reciting it?
So, knowing the theories of disbelievers, if a person does not believe in them and they are contrary to the Shari'ah, there is nothing wrong with it. So we say to this man: May Allah reward you with good. You are doing well and have good intentions, but do not prevent your brothers from studying. Let them study so they can benefit themselves and benefit others when they graduate. Now, my brothers, is it possible for anyone, no matter how much knowledge he has, to obtain a teaching position in a university or a school without a certificate? Answer: It is not possible. And if it is not possible, how do we reach this? How do we reach teaching people? How do we reach guiding people to good? Except through a certificate. Therefore, whoever seeks knowledge for the sake of obtaining a certificate in order to reach leadership positions, such as teaching or other things, his intention is sound; there is no impurity in it.

The questioner : ...

The Shaykh : We do not deny it. Let us read and see what it is, and know the falsehood so that we may refute it. Then, we did not enter school to read these theories; we entered it to read the Qur'an, the Hadith, tawhid (the oneness of Allah), and fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence). Did you understand?

The questioner : Yes

The Shaykh : Fine.
