Q1: Is it permissible to study religion for the sake of obtaining a degree?
A1: There is nothing wrong with studying to obtain a degree, and he must strive to correct his intention so that the study is for Allah alone, and that he obtains
the degree to use it to assist in obeying Allah and His Messenger, and to serve the Muslims. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
