Is the eclipse prayer performed when the eclipse begins or when it is complete? And if one missed it in congregation, does he perform it individually?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The eclipse prayer, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Regarding the eclipse prayer.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Is it prayed when the eclipse begins or when it is complete? And regarding the one who missed the eclipse prayer, does he pray it individually? We ask for clarification, O Shaykh?

The Shaykh : Yes, and by Allah, the question is compound. Is it permissible or not? According to the rule, we do not accept but one question, but this is compound of the same type. Well, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When you see them إذا رأيتموهما
Meaning, when you see them eclipsed, so when the eclipse appears, here the prayer is prescribed. And if it does not appear, as if the eclipse is partial in the sun and is not seen except with a telescope, then it is not prayed because we did not see it eclipsed, and the criterion is the sight of the eye, not telescopes, not calculation, or anything else. Did you understand? So, from the time the light of the sun or the moon is broken, at that time the prayer is due. As for the one who missed it, if the eclipse has cleared, then he does not pray, and if the eclipse remains, he prays, just as the imam prays it. Yes, from the left, from the left.
