What is the ruling on the one who is praying following the mu'adhdhin?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the ruling on repeating the adhan behind the mu'adhdhin when a person is praying?

The Shaykh : Yes, if a person is praying, he does not follow the mu'adhdhin, because there is preoccupation in the prayer, and the one praying is not a follower of the mu'adhdhin such that we would say: he listens as he listens to the imam's recitation. But if the cause of the dhikr does not distract him, for example if he sneezes, he may praise Allah according to the stronger position. And if he is afflicted with waswas (whispers) in the prayer, meaning intrusive thoughts, he seeks refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan.
