Is mentioning disapproved stories for the sake of admonition considered spreading a scandal?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you, O Shaykh. Regarding, O Shaykh, mentioning certain stories for admonition that are related to moral issues, some people consider this, O Shaykh, to be spreading a scandal. What is the correctness of that, O Shaykh? May Allah preserve you.

The Shaykh : By Allah, first: it is necessary that this story be established.

The questioner : It is established, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Second: Is it in the public interest for it to be mentioned? I fear that the listener will think that this is widespread in society. That is one point. Second: Know that if a disapproved story circulates on tongues and in ears, it will diminish its gravity. So I do not see this.

The questioner : For specific individuals, O Shaykh? Is it feared that they might commit it? Specific individuals?

The Shaykh : There is no harm. Speak to them, they themselves, between you and them, between you and them, there is no harm.

The questioner : No, not on the minbars and in the sermons?

The Shaykh : No, I thought you meant in the admonitions.

The questioner : For specific individuals, O Shaykh, who are likely to commit it.

The Shaykh : That is another matter. But I thought, when you said by way of admonition, that you meant on the minbars or in the gatherings. I do not see that; there is no benefit in it. And know that if a disapproved matter continues to be heard, souls become accustomed to it and it becomes trivial to them. Therefore, if you hear a specific story about morals, you might be greatly repelled by it if it comes the second time. Yes, you said to yourself, yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you.

The Shaykh : Are you from here?

The questioner : Yes, exactly.

The Shaykh : No, we are looking for guests other than you.
