If one side of a person's garment hangs down to the ground, as happened to Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), does this fall under the hadith: "What is below the ankles is in the Fire"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : If a person, O Shaykh, has one side of his garment hanging down like Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him)... does it fall under the general meaning of the second hadith
What is below the ankles is in the Fire ما أسفل الكعبين ففي النار
?

The Shaykh : No, because this is the first [case], yes. It appears that it does not fall under it for two reasons. The first reason is that this does not apply to the entire garment. The second is that this is a slackening, and slackening means that it is not necessarily constant. The third is that he said: "unless I attend to it", and this indicates that he attends to it at times. This is different from the one who made his garment such that it hangs below the ankles and is even in its hanging; his intention is without doubt. So there is a difference between the one whose garment hangs down except when he attends to it, and the one who intended it. But some people say that it is the tailor who made it hang down. Is this an argument?

The questioner : No ... .

The Shaykh : Yes?

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Is it a defect? Is it invalid?

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Yes, if you tell the tailor to make it reach the knee, he will make it reach the knee. Yes, what you agree upon with him, he will do. Yes, yes?

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Yes, that is fine, we have taken three questions. Yes.
